Ingredients

For the steak bites:

  • 1 lb (450g) sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized cubes
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

For the garlic butter sauce:

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced (white or cremini)
  • 1 teaspoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  • Cook the Steak:
Season steak cubes with salt and pepper.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak and cook for 3-4 minutes until browned and cooked through. Remove steak from the skillet and set aside.
  • Make the Garlic Butter Sauce:
In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
Add the minced garlic and sliced mushrooms to the pan. Sauté for 5-6 minutes until the mushrooms are golden brown and tender.
Return the steak to the skillet, tossing everything together in the garlic butter sauce. Cook for another 1-2 minutes to combine the flavors.
