1½ lbs(680g) boneless chicken breast or thighs, cut into 1-inch pieces
2cups fresh pineapple chunks
1red bell pepper, chopped
1yellow bell pepper, chopped
1red onion, cut into chunks
Skewers (wooden or metal)
For the teriyaki marinade:
½cup teriyaki sauce (store-bought or homemade)
2tablespoons soy sauce or tamari
1tablespoon honey or brown sugar
2cloves garlic, minced
1tablespoon lime juice
1tablespoon olive oil
¼teaspoon black pepper

Instructions
1. Marinate the Chicken:In a large bowl, whisk together teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, honey, garlic, lime juice, olive oil, and pepper. Add chicken pieces and toss to coat. Cover and marinate in the fridge for 30 minutes (or up to 4 hours for more flavor).
2. Soak Skewers (if using wooden):While the chicken marinates, soak wooden skewers in water for at least 20 minutes to prevent burning.
3. Assemble the Skewers:Thread chicken, pineapple, bell peppers, and onion onto skewers, alternating ingredients for color and flavor.
4. Preheat Grill:Heat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grill grates to prevent sticking.
