Ingredients
  

For the shrimp:

  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the slaw:

  • 2 cups shredded cabbage (green or a mix)
  • ½ cup shredded carrots
  • ¼ cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise (or Greek yogurt for a lighter version)
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the tacos:

  • 8 small soft tortillas
  • Lime wedges for serving

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the shrimp:
    In a bowl, toss shrimp with olive oil, chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, lime juice, salt, and pepper. Let it marinate for 10–15 minutes.
  • Grill the shrimp:
    Preheat the grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Grill shrimp for 2–3 minutes per side, until pink and opaque. Be careful not to overcook.
  • Make the slaw:
    In a large bowl, mix cabbage, carrots, cilantro, lime juice, mayonnaise, honey, salt, and pepper. Toss until well combined.
  • Warm the tortillas:
    Warm the tortillas in a skillet for a few seconds per side or microwave for 10–15 seconds.
  • Assemble the tacos:
    Place shrimp in the center of each tortilla, then top with cilantro lime slaw. Serve with lime wedges on the side.
